On June 3 2024, a new “Italian Beauty Day” event was successfully held in Riyadh, organised by the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Governmental Agency that supports the business development of Italian companies abroad and promotes the attraction of foreign investment in Italy, in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association, representing the Italian cosmetics industry operating in both manufacturing and distribution and Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, who has been a landmark event in the industry for more than 50 years.

Around 100 participants from the cosmetics industry attended the event, which focused on promoting Italian excellence in the cosmetic sector and presenting the new edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the leading B2B event dedicated to all sectors of the cosmetic industry.

During the event, live demonstrations showcased the products of three renowned Italian brands in the Saudi market; their distributors joined the representatives of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna and Cosmetica Italia in an engaging talk show, discussing the superior quality and unique features of 'Made in Italy' products.

The Saudi market is becoming an important destination for the export of Italian cosmetic products. According to Cosmetica Italia, in 2023, Italian cosmetic exports to Saudi Arabia reached a value of 77 million euros, an increase of 13.1 percentage points over the previous year. Skincare products are the most esteemed Italian cosmetics exported to the Saudi market, followed by makeup and perfumes.
