Cosmoprof, the world’s “beauty fair” for over 50 years, wants to celebrate this day by providing active support for women receiving cancer treatments: women affected by the disease and debilitated who face an everyday struggle to reclaim their wellbeing, self-esteem, and ability to smile.

These women represent “beauty” in its purest form: not an abstract concept centered on aesthetics, but a celebration of life, of the will to live, of determination and sharing – the definition of beauty dearest to the Cosmoprof community.

Cosmoprof has called the cosmetics industry to action, to support these women through La forza e il sorriso Onlus, a collective social responsibility project backed by Cosmetica Italia – the personal care association. La forza e il sorriso Onlus, is part of a large international family, Look Good Feel Better, that has been active since 1989 sharing this powerful experience in 27 nations around the world.

Donations can be made directly from the website of the non-profit association, which has been arranging free beauty laboratories for women receiving cancer treatments since 2007, providing them with information, ideas, and practical advice on how to address the side effects of the treatment.

A small gesture with a profound impact: your contribution supports people who are going through a difficult time and helps them rediscover the confidence they need to fight a devious, but not invincible foe.

It is also rewarding for the giver, since in times of great uncertainty love is always the surest anchor. And love is what makes us beautiful.
